By default, everything stays on your device

In Local only mode (the default), your AnChOr times, loop history, ping log and the names and notes you type are stored only in this browser. Nothing is sent to us. The page sets no cookies.

"Share with us" (only if you agree)

"Share with us" is off until you tick it and press I agree, share my logs. While it is on, the page sends a copy of each new log to the ChronoLogicAl shared store:

Witness names, the clerk name, load notes, email addresses and any other free text stay on your device and are never shared. Only logs made after you switch it on are sent. The store does not keep your IP address.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by turning off "Share with us" in Settings. From that moment nothing new is sent.

Who sees it: only the ChronoLogicAl project team. The store accepts writes from the page but has no public read access. Your logs are not published or sold.

Where it is stored

The shared store is a Cloudflare D1 database restricted to Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction, so the shared data is stored and processed inside the European Union. Cloudflare also hosts this website (Cloudflare Pages) and, like any web host, handles technical connection data such as IP addresses to deliver it.

How long it is kept

Shared entries are kept until they are deleted, either on your request using your browser code or by the project team. The consent record (agreed, switched off, deleted) is kept as the record of your choices and of handled deletion requests.

Email only mode

If you choose Email only in Settings, each new loop log is emailed to the address you enter, through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), an email service based in the United States. That email contains the full loop log, including any witness names, clerk name and load note you typed, and FormSubmit's own terms apply to it. These emails go to your address only, not to the team. Before 24 October 2026, "Share with us" also sent loop logs by email to the team through FormSubmit; that route has been switched off.

Your rights

Because the shared logs carry no names, we can only find your entries through your browser code. Clearing the page's data in your browser makes a new code, so keep a note of the old one if you want it deleted.

Consent text version 2026-10-24.1. Last updated 24 October 2026.
